A Backyard Beginner

 Birch Hollow is another canyon in our backyard that does not require a permit. It seems like the popularity of the canyon will likely lead it into the permit system. Though the approach is hard packed,worn and fairly straight forward there are a few fluted slot rappels that are eye catching. The views on the return through Wild Wind Canyon are also worth it.
